This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from musepaper.org (the “Site”).

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

When you contact us or attempt to make contact through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, email address, and phone number.  We refer to this information as “Personal Information.”

We use the Personal Information that we collect from contact forms generally to gather useful feedback from visitors and customers, to fulfill any requests, to answer visitor or customer questions, and, ultimately, to communicate with you.

Order forms

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (this does not include sensitive credit card and debit card numbers, as this type of payment processing is being done by Stripe), email address, and phone number.  We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).  Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

Communicate with you;

Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

When you place an order or buy a Membership through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

This site may be using WPMU DEV third-party cloud storage to store backups of its audit logs where personal information is collected.

Add-On: Referrals 

Referrals add-on by Gamipress needs the use of a cookie to meet when a referral visitor comes into a referral sign up. The details of the cookie are:

Additional data

This site gives the option to its administrators to set up third-party destinations for sending and receiving backups. To create these destinations, personal data is stored. This data includes the administrator’s name, email, UID and country for Dropbox accounts and credentials for FTP accounts.

Cookies

This site might be using cookies on the admin side for establishing connections with third-party vendors for sending and receiving backups. These vendors include Google Drive, Dropbox, Amazon S3 and phpseclib for FTP accounts. Additionally, cookies may be set for potentially fixing cron requests at erratic servers. What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Forms

Ultimate Member provides you with forms for user registration, login and profiles.

Via these forms you are collecting personal data from your users.

You should include in your privacy policy what personal data is captured when someone submits/fills in one of the forms, why you collect it and what you do with this data and how long you keep it.

How long we retain your data

Registered user information is retained in your website’s database indefinitely.

Data can be exported or removed upon users request via the existing WordPress data exporter or eraser.

If syncing data to a 3rd party service (e.g Mailchimp via our MailChimp extension), data is retained there until unsubscribed or deleted.

Where we send your data

Ultimate Member does not send any user data outside of your site by default.

If you have extended the functionality of the plugin (e.g sending registered user data to MailChimp via our MailChimp extension, this user info may be passed to these external services. These services may be located abroad and outwith the EU.
