When night winds no longer whisper darkness,
as in truth it must,
When the dark shadow admits its defeat,
as in truth it must:
an awesome stillness captures the air
and humility overwhelms the heart.
The late-night morning dew
enraptures,
as life breaks through the drying earth..
as in truth it must.
The past, future and present intermingle
as the first colours of the Painter
speak of a momentous sunrise.
Our life’s manifesto flashes before us
and humility overtakes the heart.
The sun has made its prostration
and is now rising to fulfil its task.
Will we submit as willingly as the sun?
